Our Camping Trip

We went camping the weekend of the 10th. We were only going to stay till sunday and drive home Monday, but we decided to take an extra 2 days! Of course it wasn't all camping though. We camped 2 days and 2 nights, the rest of the time we were in a motel.
We took the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon. That was so much fun! My kids had never seen the Grand Canyon before so it was a fun experience for them.
The funnest part for our kids were the theives that went on the train and took people's money. Mason gave the funniest face ever!
Then we went to Mt. Humphey's and took a ski lift to the highest mountain in AZ! The view was beautiful!
Anyways that was our trip and it was nice for the most part to not have distractions around us so we could enjoy being with each other.

4th of July

the 4th was so much fun! We had lunch at mom and dad's then took the lightrail into tempe. I do not recommend the lightrail by any means. The fireworks ended at 10 the lightrail didn't get us back home till 10:45! That doesn't even count with the 20 minute wait to get on the dang train. But if you want to save money for cost of parking it is a good way to go though.
Anyways, the kids loved it including Sam which shocked me, because I thought he would be scared of all the popping sounds, but he wasn't so it worked out great!

Swimming Lessons

We ended up going to Shelly again this year and she is just wonderful. We tried getting Lizzy into the Swim team, but she was a little slow this year, but hey she still swam the legnth of the pool so that was awesome!
Then after we finished with Shelly we put Lizzy into diving lessons with the city and she did an awesome job! She even jumped off the high dive, what a brave girl we have!

Father's Day

Father's day was great! Alot of work but it ended up being fun.

Mother's Day

I know I am coming from a while back, but such as life. I had a wonderful mother's day and felt like a queen.

Lizzy's Birthday Party

Like I said earlier I finally gave myself a break after two weeks of being non stop, but when you do that to yourself things creep up at the last minute, and that is how Lizzy's Birthday party was. Mason's I was so pre planned people might have thought me ridiculous, but with Lizzy I was so last minute, and of course if anyone knows me, they know I try to make impossible things happen, and in the end I end up overdoing it, not to say Lizzy's party was not enjoyable, it totally was, but I just did alot of extra work,( thank goodness my mom was with me!) like I wanted to do a tea party theme, so I used REAL tea cups, then of course Lizzy loves every one so I invite 13 girls. Then of course since they are dressing up and it is after school I did little girly snacks like cream puffs, chips, and chocolate covered strawberries. That amazed me out of all the snack the number one thing they ate was the strawberries! Then of course they did the games and everything, the girls really had a blast! And they all looked so cute, especially the birthday princess herself Lizzy. When I look at all the craziness would I do it again? Heck ya! Pretty soon she'll not be wanting those princess parties, so it was all worth it!

Easter

After getting home late the night before, unbenonced to my kids, the easter bunny came, even for little baby Sam. Devin and I enjoyed eateing his candy! We had a wonderful Sunday service and it was nice not to have to do anything, that I gave myself a one week break the next week.

Another Easter Party

After the Aston easter party we went to go see Devin's family, because Ken and Chyrisse were going to leave on Sunday to go back to Hurricane, so we had a fun dinner and easter egg hunt. It was so fun to see the kids enjoying themselves together. They rarely see their cousins so it is nice when we can get together.

The Easter Party

We decided to combine easter and everyone's birthdays this year. It was fun, we went to gene autry park. I was so freaked that morining, because it was raining. Thank goodness we did the 1:00 time and it worked out perfectly. The rain stopped around 11 even though it was a little chilly that day. I guess you could say it was the last cold day of the year.

The Easter Pagent

Sorry I haven't been updating my blog, I was so busy with easter and everything. We had family come down from Huricaine, UTto see the Easter pagent it was so much fun. We went on Thursday night. I did feel a little bad that we were so far back, but nonetheless, it was lots of fun. We brought food, blankets, and pillows, and had a great time together. Then we stayed up late talking, it's always nice when family visits.

Samuel is 3 months old!

My little chunk is already 3 months old today! Weighing a whopping 16 lbs 7 oz, he's big huh!

Mason's Birthday Party

We had such a fun time on his birthday. We decided to have his birthday in between conference sessions (I will never do that again). It was nice, and Mason totally loved the party, it was a bit windy though, too windy for baby Sam, so we got him wrapped tight in the blankets, that's the last thing we need for the baby, considering he is trying to get over a cold for a month.
It turned out great, we did a star wars theme, It was truly so much fun!

Samuel's Baby Blessing

Samuel's baby blessing went great! I don't know why I stress out over these things, but I do. The amazing thing about the blessing was how Samuel was awake from the very first minutes into church and never cried. That is so not Samuel, in fact lately if he's up within a few minutes he starts crying. Even when the blessing was given he didn't even stir being wide awake, that was just amazing! What a sweet little boy we have!
Afterwards our family got together and we had a little get together afterward celebrating Sam's blessing as well as my brothers' birthdays we missed last month, it was all great!

Samuel is 1 month old

Man alive, it doesn't feel like time has flown that quickly but it has. He gained almost 3 pounds! He now weighs 11 pounds 8 ounces. I'm just so excited he's going to be a chunk! I just love chunky babies. Not that Mason wasn't adorable, he was. It's just going to be so much fun!

My Computer

The hard drive on our computer went out, so for a week I've been suffering, but I am now back on track and so excited! My family has been hit with the common cold this last week(no fun). But, didn't it hit alot of your homes too?! It's just going around.

Baby Samuel is Born

Baby Samuel was born today Tuesday January 6th, 2009. He weighs 8lbs 15 1/2 OZ no wonder he popped my cartalidge! Every thing went well we came to the hospital at 3:00 in the morning to be induced. They said on entering in the hospital, before giving me the patossin that I was 4 1/2 centemeters and I was having contractions not steady around 10 minutes apart. When they gave me the patossin and I really didn't feel the contractions. I slept from 4:30 to 8:30, finally at 8:30 they broke my water and by 8:40 I had my epideral. I would have had him right at lunch time, but my doctor was assisting with an emergency pregnancy, so I had him at 12:45 instead. He is the cutest little guy I love having him in our home
